Our vision is to see Every Church in Every City United and Ready for Crisis so His way may be known on the
earth and His salvation to the nations.

- (Psalm 67) -

Our Mission

Building a Christ-Centered, Global Church Network to Train, Equip, Connect, and Mobilize Church Networks for Times of Crisis.

Our Core Values

WE EXPECT TRANSFORMATION

We believe Christ died for the complete healing of all people impacted by crisis through physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance.

We invite all people into a transformational and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

(1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18)

WE ARE GOOD SAMARITANS

We believe the Good Samaritan provides a vivid lifestyle example of assisting someone in crisis. A Good Samaritan (1) courageously faces reality, (2) creatively works towards realistic solutions, and (3) completely cares for another person’s reality, thoroughly helping them to get back on ‘the road’ of their journey.

(Luke 10:30-37)

WE ARE READY

We are ready to give an answer to everyone about the hope that is within us with gentleness and respect. We demonstrate this hope by training and equipping Crisis Response Church Networks who serve those suffering in the aftermath of a crisis to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

This readiness requires us to train and prepare for these opportunities to love others in crisis.

(1 Peter 3:15; James 1:23-27)

WE ARE UNITED

We believe we can best respond to crises when we work together. We unite as a global network of church networks that show love for one another, share a common Statement of Faith, and glorify God’s Son Jesus Christ.

We value God’s unique gifts to each one for the common good. In this, we present a powerful witness of God’s presence to the world and know that He is pleased to bless the work of His unified Church.

(John 17:21; Psalms 133)

WE PRAY

We know that God’s presence working through us is vital to all we do, and we depend on the Holy Spirit to speak to us, guide us, and give us wisdom in every circumstance. As we continually seek His face, we trust Him to shine through us and that we will lack no good thing.

God’s Word teaches us how to pray and assures us that He will respond in power when we pray according to His will.

(John 16:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; 2 Chronicles 26:5; Psalms 34:5; Philippians 4:4-7; James 5:16).

Our Team

Daniel Geraci

Daniel Geraci

Founder and CEO

In September 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, Daniel was given by the Lord a crisis response vision to build a network of Greater Austin churches, who would set aside theological differences and mobilize, organize, and train together to meet the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of those impacted by crisis.

Daniel served as Founder and Executive Director of the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) for 14 years. In that time ADRN assisted nearly four hundred thousand disaster survivors, trained over 22,000 volunteers, and raised more than $22 million to help families get back on their feet and into safe and clean homes. Expanding on this crisis response church network vision, today Daniel is Founder and CEO of United in Crisis, taking it beyond the city walls of Greater Austin to the nations.

Daniel lives in Odessa, Missouri with his wife Allison, and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with family, hiking, hunting, and camping.

Kelly

Kelly MacTiernan

UIC Global Training Center Hospitality Manager

Kelly has a natural hospitality gifting and gained her professional experience from owning and operating a Dude and Guest Ranch in Colorado for twenty plus years before she and her husband moved to Missouri in 2005. The relocation launched them into rental home purchasing and renovations and property management which also ventured her into a new kind of hospitality offering nightly guest accommodations long before “Air B&B” became an online accommodations platform. Years into her rental accommodation business she became an official 5 star Super Host with Air B&B through their nightly rental properties.

Because of her passion for all things interior design and decorating, DIYing, and professional “thrifting”, Kelly also became experienced in coordinating and facilitating many types of events from weddings to fundraisers. After training with Crisis Response Int’l she also became experienced in Moulage art.

Also passionate about being prepared for crisis, Kelly and her husband, Scott, co-produced, with another couple a training curriculum in personal preparedness called The Preparedness Peace which was published in 2012. In 2019 she and her husband joined a ministry in a self-sustained community on a 400 acre working farm that sheltered trauma and abuse victims where she became trained as a personal ministry facilitator.

Besides trying to keep up with her 12 grandchildren scattered between MO, CO and TX her favorite hobby and pastime is in thrifting for Home Interior makeovers, renovations, décor, home staging, and all things hospitality. She now resides in Odessa, MO with her husband.

Scott

Scott MacTiernan

UIC Global Training Center Ranch Manager

Scott is a jack-of-many-outdoor-trades. His great love for the outdoors and vast experience as a wilderness guide, ski instructor in Aspen, elk and deer hunting outfitter and location scout for film production companies in his early 20’s prepared him to partner with his mom and venture into the hospitality industry starting and operating a Dude & Guest ranch and Outfitting business in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.

This 25 plus year venture contributed to his expertise in livestock and land management, guest hospitality, western pleasure riding, instructing, fly fishing guide and more.

During his many years of operating the Guest Ranch Scott was also an EMT for several of those years, served on his small city council and managed thousands of acres of National Forest leases and surrounding mountain ranch properties for his neighbors.

He was nominated as the Dodge Outfitter of the Year in 2000 and recognized by his peers as an expert in this field. Scott’s years of experience in the Hunting, Tourism and Hospitality industry and in property and land management, real estate, human resources and recruiting well prepared him as the Ranch Property Manager of the United in Crisis Global Training Center in Odessa, MO where he and his wife now reside. His 12 grandchildren keep him busy retelling his many life adventure stories that give testimony to God’s miracle working power in Scott’s life.

Hannah

Hannah Geiman

Project Coordinator

The Lord prompted Hannah to join the UIC team in June of 2024. She was born and raised in a Christian Community of 60+ people on the property that is now the UIC Global Training Center in Odessa, Missouri. Growing up with daily corporate bible studies and prayer, onsite Christian school and daily discipleship in business, farming, sustainability, and seeking the face of God in all things has shaped Hannah into the person she is today. The families in the community collectively owned and operated several service businesses including a restaurant and window cleaning business. She also has worked in office administration in several other companies helping them streamline operations and boost their customer service experience.

Organization, willingness to serve, communication and bringing people together are some of her best qualities. Hannah and her husband Ben have 3 children, Adele, Declan and Amelia.
